Someone should fire me from booking hotels. NOTE TO SELF: cheap B&Bs ... CHEAP FOR A REASON! a friendly, slightly crazy reason.
Though I AM in the middle of farm country/the woods/ minutes from the aerodrome! During the summer, I could probably have seen the Red Baron from my window.... If only.
Why did you go to this crazy, small B and B on a train?

ReplyDeleteI was in Long Island Sunday night (with family), but had to get a train up out of the city to get a car for the next three days/make it to a fair. My uncle works construction.... so he dropped me off on his way to work at 4 (!) and then I had to take a bunch of trains, get a car (debacle, ended up in another Charger, JESUS), then drive up near Bard after the fair.
Everything here is EXPENSIVE. Even crappy chain hotels.... so I found the most reasonable B&B I could. And it's literally 100 yds from the Aerodrome, where they do airshows with old planes in the summer......
I hope that answered your questions. I don't want you thinking I've gone nuts and am AWOL, wandering around on early morning trains and sleeping in the woods.
