After that whiny post from this morning, I found my silver linings!
1. First of all, Charleston is amazingly beautiful. I really don't want to ever leave.
2. I found the most adorable coffee shop/craft beer place. It's my new life dream to open my own version of this place.
3. I went swimming after all my meetings today in the indoor/outdoor pool at my hotel.
4. I went to the outlets, which was glorious. But wait for it...I went in both J Crew and Ralph Lauren and DIDN'T BUY ANYTHING. Be proud of my self-restraint. My wallet is very happy with me right now.
5. I finally found jorteralls at a giant Goodwill, but sadly they were too small. So that was a wash, not quite a silver lining.
6. I had froyo for dinner. Noms.

The Trials of Travel
How has no one posted yet for spring travel? We should all be ashamed of ourselves...
Me in particular because my first three weeks of spring travel have been heinous and quite blog-worthy in their ridiculousness. I'm generally not a complainer, but this has been a seriously messed up season thus far and most of it is not my fault at all. Below is a comprehensive list of my woes:
1. Every single flight I took my first week out was delayed or I had to sprint through the airport to make a connection.
2. One of those flights was delayed for so long, I had to spend an extra night in Indianapolis instead of Memphis. No thank you.
3. Ice storm in Chapel Hill cancelled all my meetings, shut down the fair early, and made it scary to drive back to my hotel. It also derailed my partying plans for that night on Franklin Street.
4. Locked my keys in the trunk of my rental car again in Columbia, SC. At least it was sunny and 80 degrees while I waited over an hour for a locksmith. Why has this happened to me twice now?
5. Bomb threat at Clemson had us evacuated from the fair and left outside in the cold with a storm brewing for 45 minutes. I can't believe I seriously survived a bomb threat, crazy.
6. Driving from Clemson to Charleston there were severe weather warnings, including tornado touchdowns all around me. Fun.
I feel like Lemony Snicket should write a new installment of a Series of Unfortunate Events based on my January. Fail.
